We recognize the need for efficient and responsible food production and see Aquaponics as a viable new solution to many problems faced within the modern agricultural industry.

Aquaponics  is a system of growing that allows fish to feed plants with their waste while plants clean the water for the fish.

Aquaponics is an incredible tool for saving water and producing large quantities of food in a relatively small area. It works by nurturing colonies of specific bacteria that facilitate chemical conversions for nitrogen cycling. Fish waste contains ammonia witch is toxic to fish. The bacteria convert it first to nitrite, and then to nitrate. Nitrate isn’t as toxic to fish and is a good source of nitrogen for most plants. When properly balanced, the fish, bacteria, and plants live harmoniously with little outside input or water waste.

This industry is still young and growing. We are quickly becoming a viable resource for home and commercial systems and advice.
